Staff at civils contractor Outco Surfacing are looking for new jobs.

A notice of intention to appoint an administrator was filed by Outco Surfacing Ltd last week and staff have now taken to social media looking for new opportunities.

Former Outco workers posted on LinkedIn that they had been made redundant this week.

One said: “After recent news of being made redundant I would like to thank each and everyone I’ve met at Outco.

“It has been a pleasure working alongside many great people and I learned allot of valuable things and won’t forget the excellent people who have helped me along the way – I wish each and every one of you the best in your futures.”

The Leatherhead based contractor specialises in grounds maintenance, surfacing and infrastructure.

In late 2020 Outco bought the Doncaster-based surfacing, engineering and external environment maintenance business, NMC Group Ltd to expand beyond its traditional winter gritting operations.

Latest accounts for Outco Surfacing Ltd for the nine months to September 30 2021 show a pre-tax loss of £1m on a turnover of £16m with 71 people employed at the business.
