Race for £1.3bn West Midlands social homes framework

A West Midlands housing association has restarted the hunt for contractors/developers and professional advisers to deliver its new build programme.

Worcester-based Community Housing Group estimates the framework could be worth up to £1.3bn over four years across the Wyre Forest and the areas surrounding Worcestershire and West Midlands

The larger value lots covering construction and development work on projects over £10m and specialist demolition and enabling works will be open across the whole of England and Wales as a national lot.

  1. Construction and development Works up to £4m (value £50m)
  2. Development Works £3m – £10m (value £75m)
  3. Development Works £10m – £25m (value £450m) *
  4. Development Works: over £25m (value £200m)*
  5. Employers Agent and Cost Consultant (£5m)
  6. Architect (£4m)
  7. Principal Designer (£4m)
  8. Structural and Civil Engineering Consultants (£4m)
  9. Development Manager (£4m)
  10. Demolition, Removal and Site Preparation (£100m)*
  11. M&E Consultant (£2m)

Firms have until 6 June to submit tenders with successful bidders named by the start of August.
