The business led by managing director Jamie McKechnie will now operate across three distinct client-focused areas: Building Solutions; Residential Solutions; Workplace Solutions

The reorganisation will also see Kier extend its geographical reach to the south coast through the Building Solutions stream in a bid to open up to more framework opportunities in the region, alongside its existing work in London and the north of England.

Jamie McKechnie, managing director of Kier Places, said: “I’ve been in post for just over a year and as a business we continue to perform incredibly well.

“Our success in recent years has given us the platform to develop a long-term evidence-informed growth strategy, and we’re now implementing that at pace, including the introduction of our new business areas.

“This a hugely exciting time at Kier Places and today we are making a bold statement of intent for what the next few years look like and the scale of our ambition.”

The range of services across the Kier Places business includes reactive and planned maintenance, mechanical and electrical maintenance and response, decarbonisation and retrofit services, hard and soft facilities management, refurbishment, remodel and extension, cladding remediation, fire assessment works, soft facilities services, asbestos survey and remodel, and fabric maintenance.
