Luxury fit out contractor files administration notice

Up-market fit out and refurbishment contractor Fileturn has filed an notice of intention to appoint an administrator.

The Surrey based specialist has been in business for more than 25 years.

Its website states: “We provide Principal Contractor services across the UK market place, in the most demanding of sectors such as hospitality, leisure, banking and retail.

“Fileturn has a strong track record in dealing with work ranging from bespoke projects through to major works, managing multiple fast track programmes with the same focus and total attention to detail which has ensured that our projects are always delivered on time and on budget – and fulfill our own exacting standards.”

The firm has worked on a host of luxury hotel revamps and big-name restaurant jobs up to £10m in value.

Latest accounts for the year to March 31 2023 show the company made a pre-tax loss of £1.1m from a turnover of £31.3m after being hit by a problem contract which was “technically unique and commercially challenging.”
