RVT offers trio of new ways to stay safe on dusty sites

RVT Group has introduced three new ways to keep construction workers safe from the dangers of dust on site.

All businesses undertaking activities that create dust must provide controls that are effective in keeping within the Work Exposure Limit (WEL).

Failure to install adequate dust control will leave workers exposed to health problems such as heart disease, lung disease, respiratory problems, asbestosis, silicosis and cancer.

RVT Group has been innovating new hazard control solutions for the UK construction industry for over 30 years and its latest solutions are new to the market and available for temporary hire.

Multi-station dust extraction

Protect site workers from dry free-flowing dusts, as well as chips.

The high suction power of the DUSTEX D5 ensures optimum extraction results. It effortlessly performs multi-station extraction, collecting high volumes of dust at different locations at the same time. It has a particularly long filter life due to optimum ratio between air volume flow and filter surface, as well as very effective filter cleaning.

The extraction arm can be repositioned as needed to extract dust at the source. Suitable for extracting masonry dust, wood dust, fibreglass dust, metal dust, and (non-conductive) explosive dusts.

Portable dust suppression

Protect site workers from harmful airborne dust from groundworks, stone ballast and demolition.

The DUSTEX Hydramist 12GT provides a fantastic coverage of 6-8m fine mist, effectively eliminating dust in your work area. Portable and durable, this is the perfect solution for your airborne dust concerns on site.

High water output makes this water mist cannon suitable for very dusty activities such as demolition. Incorporating its own diesel generator and 1,100ltr water tank, it can operate without the constraints of a dedicated power or water supply.

High power dust extraction

Protect site workers from grinding dust, refractory dust, industrial process dust, welding, cutting and burning fumes.

The DUSTEX Superfilta 40 is a high-flow filtration unit that efficiently extracts large volumes of dust and fume from site activities to help ensure a safe working environment and it can be disassembled into smaller component parts and easily transported into the work area before re-assembling.

This is very convenient for projects that need a high-power extraction unit but are not able to store a large extraction unit outside of the work area. It also reduces the duct lengths needed and increases efficiency.
