The refresh of the £800m fourth-generation framework sees just Octavius and Jackson renew their places. BAM Nuttall, Sisk and Galliford Try are among the big names dropping out.

Under the new set-up Octavius and Winvic swept the board earning places on all three value lots, with eight other firms sharing on spots on the lots.

Works include highway improvements, highway infrastructure works including bridges, subways, culverts and retaining walls, public realm works and town centre enhancements, drainage improvements, canal works, and other miscellaneous infrastructure.

The new framework contracts will operate for four years with the option to extend for a further two years.

Octavius Managing Director Highways Gavin Pritchard said: “We are delighted to have been appointed to all three lots within the EHA Framework. From the feedback received we are particularly pleased to see how our submitted proposals resonated with the EHA reviewers, we look forward to developing these with EHA users over the coming years.”

EHA 4 represents a formal collaboration of 11 local authorities in the region.
