Harmony Fire has been re-appointed to the NHS Shared Business Services’ (SBS) Building Safety and Fire Compliance Framework, taking a lead position on each of the three lots it bid for. The NHS SBS Framework will manage £125 million of NHS spend over a four-year term and provides a highly efficient procurement vehicle for Health Trust’s and the wider public sector.

The leading fire protection specialist was successfully selected as a framework partner to deliver both passive and active fire safety solutions in London and the South-East, and extending across the rest of the UK. Harmony Fire also landed a coveted place on the frameworks to carry out fire risk assessments and consultancy services in London and the South-East, as well as the rest of the UK.

This latest re-appointment builds on the company’s strong public sector framework credentials, as organisations increasingly seek to engage high-quality fire protection specialists through a fast-track and best value procurement pathway. The win adds to Harmony Fire’s growing tally of high-performing national frameworks, which also includes the Prosper Framework, Frameworx and the LHC Procurement Group.

Connor Mitchell, Director at Harmony Fire, said: “Our re-appointment to the NHS SBS Framework extends our long-standing partnership with this influential procurement body, with its wide-ranging scope recognised as an efficient pathway for many diverse public sector organisations. With the elevated profile of fire safety in the public consciousness, organisations are rightly focusing efforts on fast-tracking buildings to meet the updated safety compliance standards.

“Frameworks actively facilitate early engagement between specialist contractor and customer, enhancing smarter collaboration at a stage that can prove highly influential in driving efficiencies across remediation and fire safety upgrade programmes.”

A spokesperson for NHS Shared Business Services added: “NHS SBS is pleased to introduce our new Building Safety and Fire Compliance Framework Agreement. It provides the NHS and wider public sector with a comprehensive range of services, including fire safety, asbestos management and removal, lifts maintenance and installation, water treatment, PAT testing, authorising engineers, and pneumatic tube systems.

“With the recent budget announcement allocating £1 billion to the NHS to address critical repairs, this framework agreement provides a compliant procurement route for essential safety services.”
