The 836-bed scheme, located in Selly Oak, will offer a mix of studios and cluster bedrooms under the Greystar brand, along with a medical centre, landscaped public areas, and over 13,000 sq ft of resident amenities including a gym, cinema, and study lounges.
McAleer & Rushe and Greystar has selected Walker Modular’s seamless pod system which does not depend on extensive mastic and gaskets to remain watertight like traditional panel-based pods.
The latest award comes as Walker Modular is working with Greystar at the Chapter Living scheme at London Bridge helping deliver a 39-storey tower offering 905 student beds.
Walker Modular said: “Greystar sets the bar high on quality, efficiency and long-term asset performance. That’s why we developed a bespoke pod solution for The Triangle — tailored to meet their exacting standards.
“Our seamless system delivers a cleaner aesthetic than panelised alternatives, with tight corners and detailing that reduces the need for silicone at joints — which not only improves visual appeal but also lowers future maintenance. It supports Greystar’s goals on lifecycle cost control, yield protection and ESG performance, while ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery on site.
“McAleer & Rushe and Greystar are leaders in delivering high-quality student accommodation, and we’re proud to be their chosen partner for this next major development. It’s a relationship built on trust, shared standards, and a drive for continuous improvement.
“The Triangle represents a forward-thinking approach to design and delivery — and our seamless pod system plays a key role in supporting that vision.”
A McAleer & Rushe spokesperson said: “We’ve worked with Walker Modular for over 15 years across a wide range of successful projects, and their consistency, innovation and reliability continue to set them apart.
“The seamless pod system being delivered for The Triangle aligns perfectly with our approach to high-quality, efficient construction. It supports our programme certainty, quality assurance, and long-term value for the client — all key factors in complex, high-density schemes like this.”
