Henry Annafi has lodged an Employment Tribunal case against his former employer with a preliminary hearing set for next April.
Annafi joined the NASC in March 2019 and spent more than six years at the trade body overseeing industry training.
The tribunal claim form details the breakdown in his relationship with a new leadership team led by Chief Executive Officer Clive Dickin who took control in July 2023.
The Enquirer understands that a number of experienced employees have left the NASC over the last two years.
Plans to shake-up scaffolding training have also split the sector with fierce industry opposition to proposed reforms of the Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme.
The NASC said: “It would be inappropriate for us to comment on any ongoing tribunal case.
“NASC is proud to be an equal opportunities employer with a rich and diverse team of talented employees from all walks of life, many different cultures and an array of different backgrounds. We recognise the importance of this diversity as a major source of strength for the organisation.”
The trade body declined to confirm details of staff turnover in the last two years but added: “NASC has grown substantially over the last two years, with more staff joining across all departments. The total headcount is currently 25, which is roughly double what it was two years ago”
