Bramall, who takes up the role on 1 November, joins from Manchester Airports Group where she has been CFO since 2018. Before that she held senior finance roles at Laing O’Rourke, Tyco and Johnson Controls.
She steps in to replace chief financial officer Adam Semple who will leave the group at the end of next month after 12 years with the business.
Severfield chair Charlie Cornish said Bramall’s international experience would be a major asset during the transition period.
The board has started a formal recruitment process to secure a long-term replacement.
Meanwhile Laing O’Rourke’s Paul McNerney is expected to takes the helm in the next few weeks as new chief executive replacing Alun Dunsmore who left the business in June.
