Euro Auctions Group has been commissioned by Flannery Plant Hire to conduct a sale of its old heavy plant fleet following a £107m investment in new kit last year.

The plant hire giant has spent £448m over the past four years meaning a lot of machines can now be moved on.

The auction will take place at Flannery’s site in Irlam, Manchester on Tuesday March 10.

It will bring to market one of the largest and most diverse selections of modern, well-maintained heavy plant equipment seen in the UK in recent years.

Martin Flannery, Managing Director at Flannery Plant Hire, said: “As the construction industry continues to grow, so does the demand for high-performance, reliable, and sustainable plant machinery. At Flannery, we are committed to staying ahead of industry needs by investing in the latest innovations.”

“Our investment reflects our dedication to providing our customers with a fleet that is not only versatile and innovative but also meets the highest standards of efficiency and sustainability.”

“This latest investment builds on our ongoing commitment to reinvesting in our fleet. Over the past four years, we have invested £448m in new machinery, ensuring our customers have access to the best equipment on the market.”

“To make way for these new machines we are utilising Euro Auctions’ trusted industry reputation and their standing as the largest machinery auctioneer in Europe to sell this equipment on our behalf and realise maximum asset value. We have a great relationship with Euro Auctions and know the professionalism of their team will make this a simple and easy process for us.”

The sale will include equipment from leading manufacturers such as CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, JCB, Volvo, Bell, Wacker Neuson, Hydrema, and more.

Highlights include:

  • Range of Late Model Excavators including Cat, Hitachi, Komatsu
  • Range of Late Model Articulated Dumptrucks including Cat, Volvo, Hydrema
  • Range of Late Model Dozers including Cat, Komatsu
  • Range of Late Model Rollers including Cat, Bomag, Volvo
  • Range of Late Model John Deere Tractors
  • 2019 Scania R580’s
  • Range of JCB 3CX Backhoe Loaders

Much of the machinery is late-model, well-specified, and maintained to the high standards required for operated and self-drive hire.

Dermot O’Connor of Euro Auctions, said: “A fleet renewal sale of this scale is a core part of what we specialise in at Euro Auctions, and we are proud to have been entrusted with a project of this importance.

“Our dedicated teams are able to mobilise rapidly, bringing the full auction infrastructure directly to the seller’s premises. This allows us to deliver a complete, end-to-end service on site, with the same care, attention and professionalism that contractors and fleet owners experience at our permanent auction facilities.

“We’re delighted to support Flannery in rejuvenating their stock and enabling a smooth transition to their newly expanded fleet. This sale represents a significant milestone for both companies, and we look forward to delivering an exceptional auction on the day.”
