Results for 2014 were announced today and show a €3.4m loss in the UK on turnover of €2,082m compared to a profit of €19.6m on revenue of €1,881 in 2013.
Germany was the only other area to record a loss.
The drop was blamed on “market conditions” in the UK construction and M&E sector and losses on two civil engineering contracts.
BAM has also run into trouble on two Irish PPP toll road contracts which have led to a €21m hit.
BAM is currently implementing its “Back in Shape” programme which started last July and is due to run until mid-2015.
Most of the €100m planned cost savings are focused on BAM’s Dutch operations.
Overall group pre-tax profit fell to €62.2m from €75.2m last time before restructuring and impairment costs as turnover rose to €7,314m from €7,042
