The package will be let to contractors that prequalify for the South West Wales Contractors Framework, which is mainly being set up for schools construction, but may include other public building and housing work.
The framework is part of Wales’ 21st Century Schools Programme, a joint plan drawn up by the assembly government and the Welsh Local Government Association.
Carmarthenshire County Council is handling the south west region framework on behalf of its local authority partners, Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council, City and County of Swansea and Pembrokeshire County Council. The councils intend to call-off individual school building and refurbishment jobs from the framework.
