The two-storey hospital buildings will be built near Nottingham City Airport in Tollerton and be known as Spire Nottingham.
Around 250 jobs will be sustained during construction of the 56-bed hospital, which will also include a large outpatient area with 20 consulting rooms, an oncology suite, six bedded critical care unit and a fixed MRI and CT facility.
Andy Hall, Morgan Sindall’s area director for the Yorkshire region, said: “We have previously delivered a large number of healthcare developments in a range of sizes and in very different locations and we look forward to bringing our experience to bear on this project.”
It is anticipated that the project will be complete in early 2017.
