Betting Spy: Swansea and West Ham at the double

Jose Mourinho isn’t the only one reeling from a dodgy start to the season.

It’s been a nightmare for punters as the form book resembles a financial suicide note rather than a guide to riches.

Unfortunately Betting Spy has been far from immune from the chaos with two weeks of the season down and the payout window untroubled.

The flood of TV money means all teams can attract top talent.

That means the skill gap is closing – while the eye-watering fees some players command are made to look a nonsense when they come up against cheaper opponents.

Things tend to even-up over the season as teams with weaker squads are hit by injuries and their replacements aren’t up to the task.

But at this early stage the first eleven of any Premier League team can stand toe-to-toe with the big boys and give it a good go.

The trick now is to pick out teams who have started with a flourish and are still being overpriced by the bookies.

Swansea fit the bill perfectly and they also visit a Sunderland side playing like someone has drugged their tea.

The Swans are a shade over evens so let’s double them up with a West Ham side who have a point to prove at home to Bournemouth.

It’s been an odd start from the Irons.

Slaven Bilic did a number on Arsenal but then let Leicester City do exactly the same to him.

Bournemouth looked a decent side at Liverpool on Monday but their defence looks a bit open and odds-against quotes on a home win look very tempting.

The Swansea/West Ham double pays nearly 4/1 and that will hopefully get us back in the black for the season.
