Betting Spy: West Ham and Leicester at the double

Some things in life are sadly predictable.

At least he's never strained his Man Bun
At least he's never strained his Man Bun

You didn’t have to be Mystic Meg to predict months ago that Carillion was going to end in tears.

And that same air of fatalism hangs around the news that West Ham’s number nine Andy Carroll is injured once again.

Wor Andy has been a tad frustrating during his time in East London.

Long lay offs, comically bad performances, the odd wonder goal and bullet header – you get all that with the big number nine.

Carroll’s talent in a different body might have been some player.

And it looked bizarrely like this week that he was heading out of the door with Chelsea set to make an offer.

Now I know the Blues are in a bit of a slump and struggling for goals, but come on.

I’d love to have seen Hazard and Willian weaving their pretty patterns before looking up and realising they had to loft a high ball to the big man at the back stick.

But Carroll’s ankles have done for any possible deal as the treatment room will once again be home for a while.

Every cloud has a silver lining though and it means David Moyes must stick with Manuel Lanzini and Marko Arnautovic up front on Saturday.

The pair are gelling well and providing a cutting edge with a dash of flair which hasn’t been seen in Stratford for a while.

West Ham should get revenge over Bournemouth for a very dodgy draw at their place and to boost the price I also like the look of Leicester at home to Watford.

The home win double on West Ham and the Foxes pays 5/2 which looks more solid than Carroll’s ankles.
