Fast-growing London developer/contractor Guildmore has appointed Martin Bellinger, one of the founders of homes for rent developer Essential Living, as executive chairman.

Since its establishment in 1998, Guildmore has grown to become an integrated contracting and property development group with a pipeline over £100m.

Specialising in affordable housing and public-private partnership work, Guildmore has worked with housing association like Metropolitan, Notting Hill and Hexagon, with the ability to act as both developer or main contractor.

Guildmore recently completed the award-winning restoration of the Grade II listed Poplar Baths in Tower Hamlets, saving it from 30 years of dereliction and creating a thriving leisure centre for the local community.

“I am delighted to have joined Guildmore which has an enviable reputation, an exciting project pipeline of over £100m and a great future working with some of the country’s leading housing associations,” said Bellinger.

“Affordable housing could not be higher up on the political agenda right now and I am excited to be working on a number of developments and exciting mixed-use schemes that will make a huge difference to their respective communities,”
