Twenty contractors have been selected to provide a host of civils, mechanical and electrical construction services to Anglian Water’s operational capital teams and to the AMP5 capital alliance.
May Gurney is the only contractor to come up trumps on all three specialist work packages covering small civils jobs, mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs and sewer work.
The sewer infrastructure deal will include private sewers and involve minor planned works like manhole cover replacement.
Contractors will need to deliver a 2 hour emergency response to site for emergencies, which accounts for around a third of the work.
Danaher & Walsh will help with the repair of burst rising mains and collapsed sewers, manhole replacements, sewage clean ups and assistance with jetting and surveys.
General Manager, Russell Fitzjohn said: “We are delighted to continue our working relationship with Anglian Water.
“The work is demanding and can be at unsociable hours but we have a committed, trained and highly skilled workforce that takes a pride in providing a first class service to Anglian Water and their clients”.
