Wates Living seeks trade partners for Yorkshire expansion

Wates Living Space is on the hunt for supply chain partners as it seeks to grow housing repairs and maintenance activities in Rotherham and Barnsley.

The strategic growth plans will see Wates Living Space build on its contract portfolio in the county, which currently includes a £2.7m contract to install new external wall insulation to homes across Sheffield for the City Council.

As part of its plans to expand its operations, Wates intends to grow its network of South Yorkshire-based supply chain partners as well create local opportunities for training and employment.

The move will see the Wates Group look to grow its existing work pipeline in Rotherham, where Wates Residential North is currently building over 200 new homes in partnership with Rotherham Council as part of its Rother Living housing brand.

David Morgan, managing director of Wates Living Space, said: “We have a very strong team in South Yorkshire with shared expertise across many elements of the housing industry.

“Through our strategic growth plans for the county, we hope to bring these skills and expertise to a number of housing repairs and maintenance programmes to ultimately give our clients’ residents and customers the high level of service on which we pride ourselves.”
