The triple demolition of old 16-storey flats will take place in the Sighthill area of the city on 25 September as part of the council’s wider regeneration plan.
The scheme forms part of the Capital’s 21st Century Homes project, which will lead to the construction of up to 1,300 new homes across Edinburgh, in areas such as Pennywell, Muirhouse, Gracemount and North Sighthill.
“This project marks a major shift in strategy that will boost the future of social housing in Edinburgh and create new properties fit for the 21st Century.
“Work is already well-advanced in the Gracemount area of the city with the first new Council homes for a generation set to be finished by the end of the year.”
