The man died at UBS Hoists and Access in Royston, Hertfordshire on Monday.
UBS has supplied high-rise hoists to a host of famous tower construction jobs including the Gherkin, Canary Wharf and the Beetham Tower.
It is believed the victim was helping to assemble a new hoist structure at the firm’s yard ready for installation on site when he was crushed.
An HSE spokeswoman confirmed the time and place of the accident but said the investigation was currently being led by Herts police.
UBS declined to comment on the tragedy.
