The council is reviewing the future shape of its workforce and how it delivers key new build and maintenance services.
This will include holding a contractors’ open day next month to gather information and market know-how about possible outsourcing of the council’s Place Department, which handles strategic policy, design building and transport maintenance.
An open day for contractors interested in taking part will be held on 2 November at Central Hall in Darlington.
