Perth & Kinross Council said the “unauthorised roads being constructed at the Persimmon Homes development site at Lathro Farm, Kinross will be fenced off and taken out of use.”

The council said the closure could be in force for several months.

The disputed roads are being built between already completed houses and a nearby motorway.

Construction plant and delivery vehicles will not be able to use the roads but homeowners will be able to use a “short section” for access when they move in.

The council said the roads do not have Road Construction Consent.

It added: “This closure will remain in force until Road Construction Consent has been granted, this may take several months.

“The roads concerned will be fenced off and periodic checks will be made to ensure the integrity of these are maintained.”
