Betting Spy: West Ham to win, Millwall to lose

Betting Spy has been away for a few weeks so let’s return in style with a tasty double that pays a shade over 5/2.

West Ham take on Nottingham Forest at the Boleyn and are a confident punt to take all three points and go top of the Championship ahead of Southampton’s game on Monday.

Forest are in a sorry run of form and just can’t score while West Ham are welcoming back a few from injury and should do a number on Steve Cotterill’s men.

To boost the price let’s lump the Hammers in with their old mates Millwall who could be on the end of a beating at Barnsley.

The Tykes are on a fine run of form while Millwall are struggling in the league so get on a West Ham and Barnsley double at just over 5/2 with Paddy Power.

Betting Spy’s break was due to a belated honeymoon in Argentina where filing gambling tips would have put a major strain on a young marriage.

Now we might disagree with the Argentines over the Falklands and Diego’s Hand of God, but those boys know how to live.

What’s not to like about a country where steak is cheaper than salad and Malbec costs less than bottled water?

A horrific inflation rate of 25% also means no-one saves a penny so the nights out are never ending.

I took a tour of Boca Juniors famous “La Bombonera” stadium and the parallels with West Ham were uncanny.

A proud and famous club in a run down part of the capital city who sell all their best players to other teams.

The Boca fans are also a bit “lively” and even East London’s finest might find a trip to parts of the barrio a tad intimidating.

But enough reminiscing, let’s find another longer price punt for the weekend.

There’s a great line-up on Sunday with Man City v Spurs and Arsenal v Man Utd but they both looks games to sit back and enjoy rather than risk your cash on.

So let’s take a chance on Wigan at QPR where Mark Hughes looks to have his hands full avoiding relegation.

The Latics are 11/4 and that’s an attractive price for a side who aren’t as bad as their league position suggests.
