The 280 Bishopsgate building revamp will be worth more than £50m to the business.

The works include the internal refurbishment of 264,500 sqft of office space to Category A level, along with full fit-out to the core and reception areas.

The refurbished building will incorporate a unique, 7,800 sq ft MoreySmith-designed dual reception spanning the full length of the building and connecting Bishopsgate with the green spaces of Bishops Square, Spitalfields.

Private terraces are provided on every floor with lift access to the extensive communal roof gardens and on-site wellness suite.

As a result, 280 Bishopsgate expects to become only the second WELL Gold-certified building in London, alongside CyclingScore and WiredScore Platinum certification.

The scheme retains the existing structural frame resulting in a significant embodied energy saving and incorporates extensive environmental and sustainability improvements targeting energy consumption, waste management and air quality.

Bill Hocking, Chief Executive of Galliford Try, said: “We are delighted to have been selected for such a prestigious project in such a high-profile location.

“We look forward to delivering a landmark office space that provides the occupiers with the high-quality facilities they demand.”
