New head office for NWP after winning contract streak

NWP Electrical & Mechanical has moved into a new and bigger head office following a string of major contract wins.

The office at St Asaph Business Park in north Wales is the new home of NWP’s procurement and estimating team, design department and core contract/project management teams.

Managing Director Tim Keyes said: “Our old office at Kinmel Bay had been our headquarters for nearly two decades, however despite two significant extensions we had outgrown the facility and needed new premises.

“The new office on the St Asaph Business Park offers the opportunity to grow even further and expand our long-term relationships with existing customers and also welcome new ones”.

Recent wins for NWP include the £16m design and Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) installation on the Old Southwark Fire Station redevelopment for Ardmore.

The Brigade Court Development plans include a comprehensive refurbishment of the Grade II listed former fire station alongside the development of a 10-storey residential building to create 199 new apartments, commercial space and a new school to house 1,150 students.

The award follows a successful partnership with Ardmore on Imperial College London’s regeneration of a former Perfume factory into student accommodation and residential units.

Keyes said: “We are delighted to continue our successful relationship with Ardmore, moving on to our next mixed-use development with them, which is exciting for us as a business and, for the delivery team itself.

“We look forward to completing our part of the project safely, on time and on budget for a handover in 2021”

In addition to the new head office NWP will also open an office in Birmingham later this year following the successful completion of several student accommodation and residential projects within the city centre.

The new office will allow NWP to concentrate on future projects throughout the Midlands in addition to ongoing projects in Milton Keynes, St Albans & Coventry.
