The new suite of construction frameworks include a £12bn framework for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and a £2bn framework for Scotland.

Following client feedback, Scape’s revamped frameworks introduce a parallel lotting structure to give clients the option to engage early with two contractors before awarding a project.

One contractor will be selected for each lot with all delivery partners required to be Level 2 BIM compliant and able to address improved sustainability requirements, which include commitments to carbon-neutral building design as standard by 2025.

Contractors have until 13 November to respond to the PQQ, ahead of firms being invited to tender in early February. Winning bidders will be named in June 2021.

The opening of the PQQ process follows a summer of market engagement, with more than 370 contractors and public sector organisations expressing interest in a series of virtual events.

The new arrangement builds on existing National Construction and Minor Works frameworks which have seen over 800 projects delivered to date by Willmott Dixon, Robertson, Wates, Lendlease and Kier.

Projects have been supported regionally by Farrans, McLaughlin and Harvey, Henry Brothers and a UK-wide network of SMEs.
