This year’s awards were announced online, with award ceremonies unable to take place, due to restrictions relating to coronavirus.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme National Company and Supplier Awards recognise the highest-performing CCS-registered companies and suppliers in relation to the Scheme’s Code of Considerate Practice.

These awards apply to CCS-registered construction companies and suppliers performance as part of the second CCS monitoring visit to the company or supplier during 1 August 2019-31 July 2020.

150 awards in total were presented out of a combined total of 691 companies and suppliers eligible to receive an award.

As well as the four Most Considerate Company Award winners and one winner of the Most Considerate Supplier Award, there were 66 Bronze, 46 Silver and 28 Gold, four Most Considerate Company Runners-Up and one Most Considerate Supplier Runner-Up awards presented.

Amanda Long, Chief Executive of the CCS said: “Congratulations to each of this year’s National Company and Supplier Award winners, with special congratulations to the 2020 Most Considerate Company award winners and the winner of the Most Considerate Supplier.

“Unfortunately, due to coronavirus we were unable to host award ceremonies in person this year. However, many 2020 award-winning companies and suppliers are planning to communicate their success through social media and other communications, which will help to showcase this recognition to the wider industry.

“The dedication and commitment these CCS award-winning companies and suppliers have shown underlines the important impact that the CCS has on helping to drive positive behaviour change in being a considerate constructor to the local communities, the environment and the workforce.

“Improvements in considerate standards year-on-year are very important in order to create and drive better behaviours and achieve higher standards, and we look forward to even higher performance being achieved in the future.”
