The business restructured its teams and secured finance to adapt for future growth last year resulting in a series of contract wins in its core student accommodation, residential, care homes and retirement living markets.

Growth in the student accommodation sector has been made possible with the £200m JV funding agreement with Harrison Street Real Estate which was signed late last year with construction on schemes in Lincoln and Birmingham already underway.

Other recent wins include a £50m contract for The Phoenix residential scheme in Leeds and the £14m Park Lane scheme which is due to start in the city this April.

Organisational changes include Jonathan Payne being promoted to the role of COO for Torsion Group Limited working closely alongside Dan Spencer as Group CEO.

Other changes include the promotion of David Worsley to MD of Torsion Developments and James Gould to Commercial Director of Torsion Construction.

Dan Spencer, Group CEO of Torsion Group Limited, said: “I am extremely proud of the Torsion Team and their determination to deliver all of our schemes on time in 2020.

“I am also grateful for the support shown from our supply chain partners in this challenging time.

“As we enter 2021 we are in a great place with our strategic plan and secured pipeline in place to deliver some fantastic results.

“This is a tremendous achievement for everyone involved in the business.

“It also gives me great pride to promote staff who we have supported to progress their carriers and appoint them into key roles within business as we move forward.”
