Atlas Copco Construction & Mining has released a lightweight jaw cutter attachment for use on smaller demolition machines.

To support the launch of the new combi cutter along with two new bulk pulverisers, Atlas Copco is also unveiling a dedicated microsite to give customers information about the entire silent demolition range.

The CC 950 is the latest addition to Atlas Copco’s light combi cutter offering and features a 360º hydraulic rotation device which enables attachments to be placed in position quickly and easily.

Weighing just 920 kg, the CC 950 can be fitted onto carriers between 9 and 16 tons, and exerts a crushing force of 55 tons, making it suitable for masonry and lightly reinforced concrete structures.

Keith Lambourne, Heavy Hydraulics Attachments Manager, said: “The CC 950 combines low weight with optimum crushing performance, and represents a highly cost-effective crushing option due to the fact it can be combined with a smaller excavator.”

The two new hydraulic bulk pulverizers are ideal for secondary demolition tasks, such as the additional reduction of reinforced concrete elements.

The new pulverizers are available for carriers of 18-35 tons and feature broad jaws to ensure structures are demolished with fewer bites.

The huge jaw dimensions also facilitate energy efficient high throughput, with speed valves shortening the opening and closing time of the jaws to ensure less fuel consumption during pulverizer operation.
