The contractor’s London region has recently sealed wins worth more than £240m in the commercial and hospitality sectors.

McLaren has the first development for RIU Hotels & Resorts Group in the UK with a 441 room scheme by Victoria Station and the new Hoxton Hotel in Shepherd’s Bush.

Yard Nine has also appointed McLaren to redevelop 50 Eastbourne Terrace in Paddington to create a new six-storey office complex with retail units and restaurants allocated on the ground floor.

McLaren is also developing a two and a half-storey set-back roof extension to The Hub, a key commercial building by Victoria station, on behalf of Gaw Capital and at 58-60 Berner’s street near Oxford street a new mixed-use development to accommodate flexible retail, a restaurant on the lower ground and part of the ground floors and office space on all upper floors.

The Enquirer also understands that McLaren is set to reveal a further round of contract wins in the coming weeks as the economy picks-up pace.

The contractor has now teamed up with recruitment specialist Fawkes & Reece to fill professional roles as its workload continues to grow.

McLaren chairman Kevin Taylor said: : “There is an exciting pipeline of opportunities within McLaren, as all the business units grow into new and existing sectors, Fawkes and Reece will lead our recruitment drive searching for the most ambitious and talented people in the industry to join us”

Ray Connolly, Fawkes & Reece Group Managing Director, added: “I think it’s one of the most exciting times to join the business. There’s a clear strategy about where McLaren is now heading and all divisions are in great shape.

“Their vision for the type of culture and personality they want to embrace throughout the group has been really inspiring. Our partnership supports their recruitment strategy across all regions of the McLaren Group and provides a platform for people to be able reach out.

“Whether that’s to simply be introduced to McLaren, hear more about their vision or know how a career could compare, be developed and progress.”
