The quartet of schemes worth more than £700m capped a strong month for Mace. In London, the new orders included what has been billed as the capital’s greenest office tower at London Bridge for Dutch developer Edge and a 430,000 sq ft scheme to transform Blackfriars Crown Court in a project that will create the UK’s first rooftop urban forest.

In Cambridge, Mace also picked up an office project for AstraZeneca, while in Plymouth, the firm’s strategic alliance with Willmott Dixon for NHS work secured its first project – a £126m urgent and emergency care centre at Derriford Hospital.
