Costain has signed a site labour supply deal with a quartet of firms.

Danny Sullivan Group, VGC, Hercules and Carmichael have been selected to form Costain’s new Integrated Labour Team (ILT.)

The ILT will become the Costain’s first point of contact for any temporary labour supply requirement for any project, across all sectors in which it operates.

Costain’s head of supply chain, Sarah Thomas, said: “Our partnership with the ILT brings added value and benefits to Costain and is changing how temporary operational resource is considered.

“The ILT holds expert market information, useful for resource planning and winning bids.  We can engage with the ILT earlier to confirm a pipeline of resources.  And we have real employment terms for temporary operational resources, ensuring fairness, wellbeing, and ongoing engagement.”

Danny Sullivan Group Managing Director Tim O’Sullivan said: “We have been working with Costain for over 30 years on some of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects.

“Their values and focus on improving people’s lives through what they do very much align with what we at the Danny Sullivan Group have always stood for. We are very proud to continue our relationship and further strengthen our strategic partnership through the new integrated labour team.

“Working alongside our supply chain partners, we are confident that we can continue to deliver the speed, flexibility and innovation required to serve the needs of Costain across all sectors in which it operates including water, rail, highways, defence, energy, nuclear, oil and gas and aviation – sectors in which the Danny Sullivan Group has considerable expertise and experience.”

Brusk Korkmaz, Chief Executive Officer at Hercules said: “We are delighted to further cement our relationship with Costain. We have been working together on a project-by-project basis for over a decade.

“This agreement between our companies means Hercules has the potential to work across all of Costain’s projects and sectors beyond highways and water, where we are currently partnered.”
