Reds10 has unveiled a major leadership shake-up as founder and chairman Paul Ruddick returns to take day-to-day control of the business and chief executive Matt Bennion steps aside to lead the group’s AI-driven tech arm.

The offsite specialist has promoted Phil Cook, Joe Shepherd and Ryan Geldard to managing directors of its Defence, Public Sector and Offsite Manufacture divisions as part of the restructure.

Bennion, who has led Reds10 for six years, will now take charge of sister company Thrive-AI, which uses machine learning to help clients cut energy use, reduce costs and improve building performance.

Ruddick will steer the main construction business through its next phase of expansion as it targets £500m in turnover and triples output at its Yorkshire offsite hub to 12,000 units a year.

Ruddick said: “Following four years of strong growth, we are moving to the next phase of our strategy focused on advancing technologies to fully industrialise our design, production and construction processes and integrate AI across the business.”

The shake-up also sees Scott Laird appointed AI & technical director, with Uthira Balachandar staying on as design director, and David Newey, James Bateman and Stephanie Mehra continuing in their existing senior roles.

The move follows a 70% jump in revenue to £142.5m last year, with turnover expected to rise again to £160m this year on the back of a £300m secured pipeline.
