The £195,000 deal secures Nexus Power’s assets and workforce, bringing its expertise in extra high voltage cable jointing and offshore power into the Integral Energy Solutions fold.

Founded in 2012, Enniskillen-based Nexus Power also operates out of offices in Chorley in Lancashire.

It has built a strong name in technical delivery, specialising in jointing up to 400kV on fluidfilled and XLPE systems.

It also delivers modular power and data distribution packages across commercial, education, healthcare and industrial sectors.

IES chief executive Breandan Flynn said the move marked a “significant milestone” for the group as it scales up to meet growing UK and European demand for complex energy infrastructure.

In the last two years the business has expanded from a turnover of £27m in 2024 and is now to setting its sights on exceeding £120m turnover in this financial year with a combined headcount of 800 staff.

Conor O’Neill will lead the integration of Nexus Power’s team, who will remain in place to ensure continuity for staff and clients.

Flynn said the acquisition showed IES’s commitment to investing in people and expanding its role as a trusted partner for major projects.
