The Multi Discipline Site Works framework updates an existing arrangement covering maintenance, asset care and restoration projects across the Sellafield site.
This latest framework is a stepping stone agreement towards the development of full partnering under a new Overarching Acquisition Strategy by Sellafield’s parent body Nuclear Management Partners.
The framework will run for four years covering an estimated spend of £200m-£280m and will be shared by the firms, which boast a long history of working at Sellafield.
Keith Case, Sellafield commercial director, said: “The MDSW framework is a significant piece of work for the site as it helps provide a pathway to the new, longer term partnering arrangements that we feel will deliver benefits.
“It’s a key enabler for us and will provide stability as we transition across to that new way of working.”
