L&Q bought the two sites from Wandsworth Council with planning permission for the new homes, which are set for completion by early 2015.

The housing association will use one of its framework contractors to build 139 homes on the site of a former council transport depot at On Eltringham Street, and a further 17 homes on another site on nearby York Road. The vast majority will be for private sale.
