The Dalmarnock project will see vacant land on the banks of the River Clyde redeveloped into a five-storey, 120,000 sq ft office building.

Receiving £16m of ‘shovel-ready’ funding from the Scottish Government, it is hoped the project will be a catalyst for further regeneration of the newly-created Clyde Gateway.

Other projects in the business district include a £15m investment to facilitate and support development on the site of the former Shawfield Industrial Estate, the £10m refurbishment of Dalmarnock Station and the construction of a new pedestrian footbridge over the River Clyde linking Shawfield and Dalmarnock.

Neil McDonald, Chair of Clyde Gateway said: “It is the hope of everyone involved in Clyde Gateway that this will be the first of what will become a number of major office blocks flanking the banks of the Clyde in Glasgow and South Lanarkshire over the coming years as we continue to make great strides in the on-going physical, social and economic transformation of our communities.”
