Alongside a host of new roles, CH2M Hill also plans 40 new graduate level positions, as well as offering 30 apprenticeships and 30 paid internships bringing its total investment for the UK this year to £65m.
The vacancies will be at infrastructure divisions including nuclear; transportation, tunneling and earth engineering; water; environmental services and Industrial & Advanced Technology.
Lee McIntire, chairman of CH2M Hill said: “Following the acquisition of Halcrow and its integration in to CH2M Hill over the last year, I am delighted to be able to announce this significant investment into the UK’s labour market with the creation of 500 new jobs this year across a range of high skilled engineering and technical roles.

CH2M Hill has operated in the UK for over 20 years and acquired Halcrow in November 2011, increasing its footprint in its core international market outside of North America.
It currently employs over 3,300 people in the UK and has its European Headquarters in London.
The company is working on some of the most innovative and challenging infrastructure programmes in the UK including, High Speed 2, Crossrail, Thames Tideway Improvements and the decommissioning of Dounreay, the former fast reactor research centre.
