The Enquirer understands staff were given the bad news last week and the firm is now in liquidation.

The company specialised in “full package” groundwork services providing project management, labour, plant and materials.

It had two offices in Bristol and Bridgwater and a creditors’ meeting is now due to be held on Friday.

The firm has worked on a number of high-profile local projects including Bath Bus Station, PFI schools for Skanska and the Bristol Skills Academy for Cowlin.

The company has been in business for ten years and was named as BAM’s subcontractor of the Year in 2011.

Other main contractors d20 has worked for recently include Willmott Dixon, Thomas Vale and Carillion.
