Craig Sparrow worked for more than 20 years at Skanska and was at the forefront of its environmental push.
The Enquirer understands Sparrow joined Aecom last month in its Building + Places team as director of global building engineering.
He will now have a project-based focus to strengthen the integrated delivery of Aecom’s most complex projects.
Sparrow is one of four high-profile recent hires at the consultant.
Peter Williams will be joining from WSP to lead Aecom’s building engineering business in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Williams also worked for ten years at Arup, where he became leader of its 700-man, London-based building engineering team.
He has spent the last two years with WSP as UK head of building services, leading the firm’s more than 200 building services engineers.
Jon Emmerson has also joined Aecom’s Buildings + Places industrial market sector leadership team where he will lead its efforts in the automotive sector.
Before joining Aecom Emmerson was head of the UK automotive sector at Arcadis.
Christopher Buck has also joined Aecom’s global industrial team from Arup as part of its EMEA leadership group.
