TfL shakes up £280m consultants framework

Transport for London has overhauled its professional services frameworks to give specialists and smaller firms a shot at some of its annual £70m spend.

The procurement body has announced that eleven major firms will share the main multi-disciplinary framework covering civil engineering and structures, mechanical and electrical, project management services in the capital.

Under the new arrangement, which has taken two years to put in place, a raft of consultants have also been awarded places on specialist services lots for the first time. This includes Morgan Sindall Professional Services and Murphy Surveys.

The new set-up replaces the single 90001 Framework. TfL hopes the new suite of frameworks will introduce higher quality service provision, reduce costs and deliver greater value for money based on key strategic objectives.
