Kier scores July contracts league double

Kier has come top of the monthly contracts league for work won in July and continued to hold pole position in the 12-month rolling league table.

£39m regional distribution hub facility in Wixams

According to information specialist Glenigan, Kier bagged 26 contracts during the month, worth an estimated £206m.

The largest included the £28m Ada Lovelace School in Ealing and a £39m regional distribution hub facility in Wixams, Bedford, for developers UK Land and Property.

The distribution hub is the second big win in the industrial sector for the group in recent months.

Other big project wins for the month include ISG’s £120.7m Symmetry Park scheme in Darlington for joint clients Db Symmetry and Durham Cathedral.

Atkins appears in the contractor rankings with a £60m contract for the Ilford Train Station project for Network Rail after confirming it is main contractor.
