The specialist infrastructure provider has been appointed to work alongside the eight2O alliance for Thames Water to enable the successful completion of water mains replacement across the area by Spring 2020.

Keith Jackson, Contracts Manager at blu-3, said: “We have been involved in this project for around 18 months and the awarding of this new phase is a great acknowledgement of the work we have carried out so far.

“We have previously worked with Thames Water and Eight20 on several projects in and around London and have created a great working relationship.

“This latest phase of work will only enhance that relationship and ensure a very high standard of work is completed on time, allowing for residents and businesses to move in on schedule.”

The works awarded to blu-3 are set to last for around 43 weeks, with completion scheduled for the end of March 2020.

The project will see a team of 92 employees from the company carry out water mains replacement of various size mains from 63mm to 250mm in no-dig and open-cut methodology and other associated services.
