The acquisition of Esticom sees Procore expand its preconstruction offering to bring together all sides of a project from tendering to finishing.
Esticom becomes the latest app to be offered on the Procore platform which also houses every project document and contact in one place.
Esticom streamlines the traditionally cumbersome process of estimating and takeoff.
It enables contractors to quickly determine the quantities of materials needed on a job using project drawings and specifications, and then calculate labour and material cost estimates using a built-in catalogue of prices
Procore director Brandon Oliveri-O’Connor said the Covid-19 pandemic has transformed the way construction works and highlighted the need for keeping people connected.
He said: “Covid has intensified the need to connect people on one platform enabling them to run projects from anywhere.
“We want to help construction companies achieve that by working smarter using our platform to make data work for them.”
Procore has also added new Artificial Intelligence (AI) features to help customers make better use of data contained across the platform.
Procore CEO and founder, Tooey Courtemanche, said: “With our AI-powered insights and industry benchmark data, Procore users can make better, real-time decisions, improve their construction processes, and mitigate risk.
“The ways Procore is applying automation and machine learning is making Procore users fundamentally better at their jobs.”
