Over 3,500 miles of electrical cable has been installed in the Manchester contracts alongside miles of service pipe work installed, tens of thousands of light switches, electrical sockets, light fittings and heating controls, and the thousands of bathroom fitments: from showers and baths, to WCs, wash basins and bidets.
The Blackpool and Manchester based business is also celebrating another raft of new contracts in Manchester and Salford.
Valued in excess of £35m, the new gains will involve the company in the design and installation of building services systems in a further 1,760 apartments by early 2021.
Ameon now has annual turnover approaching £75m, achieving sustained growth at a time when the industry slowed and some major names disappeared from the market.
Managing director Robin Lawson said: “In a period when some in the industry had reduced investment or cut back altogether, whether due to necessity, or as a conscious business strategy, we decided to maintain our levels of investment.
“Clearly, winning new business allowed us to plan for growth but I doubt we would have been able to make our contribution to the evolving skyline of Manchester if not for our service quality and reliability, which are the key reasons why clients feel confident enough to award us new contracts.
“Manchester has become our second home in recent years, and our decision to open a hub in the city has proved to be a wise one.
“It puts us in the thick of things, in what is undeniably the most dynamic commercial centre in Europe at this moment in time, in terms of regeneration and development.”
