The London-based specialist provides strip out, demolition, structural modifications and asbestos removal to end users and property developers as well as main contractors on projects mainly in and around the capital but also across the country.
Projects include one of London’s newest luxury lifestyle hotels, Middle Eight in Covent Garden, the Eataly food hall at Liverpool Street, the MidCity Place office development in High Holborn, the grade II-listed Law Society’s Hall in Chancery Lane and the historic Red Lion Hotel at Henley in Oxfordshire.
Founded in 2017, FDS is expanding with new backing from Bryan Lloyd, the family office with a focus on property investment and management.
FDS has invested in rugged handsets and software supplied by Storm, enabling managers to communicate instantly and reliably with site-based operatives.
Storm’s Central Command Console enables FDS to instantly locate operatives in the event of an accident through its Man Down alarm and monitors when workers enter and leave sites.
Storm clients have reported improved safety, increased compliance and reduced communications spend since adopting its technologies.
Will Sarhangian, managing director, said: “In a sector where safety is too often an afterthought, we are investing in the latest technology to improve workforce communications and minimise risk in the workplace.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Storm Intelligent Communications to help ensure the welfare of our people as we take on increasingly complex and challenging projects for our growing client base.”
Luke Wilkinson, founding director of Storm Intelligent Communications, said: “First Demolition Services is a fast-growing company with an impressive management team and ambitious expansion plans.
“We are proud to be supporting FDS on the next stage of its journey with our state-of-the-art workforce communications and safety technology.”
