The 230-apartment scheme in Preston Park, designed by Conran & Partners, will be the developer’s first outside of London and also includes space for start up businesses.

First Base acquired Anston House in 2015 and the building has stood empty for over 25 years.  The project will also deliver public transport improvements and a £139m boost to the economy during construction.

First Base’s big London projects include leading a consortium developing the 62-acre Silvertown mixed-use development in London’s Royal Dock which will include 5m sq ft of commercial and brand space and 3,000 homes.

It is also involved in East Village, Stratford, where First Base is managing a £300m portfolio of homes forming part of the 2012 Olympic Legacy.
