The “Low Value” framework is the latest deal by the North West Construction Hub joint procurement body which is charged with delivering work worth up to £1bn over the next four years.
The NWCH is being managed by Manchester City Council and covers Cumbria, Merseyside, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Cheshire.
It is part of the Government’s North West Improvement and Efficiency Partnership, aimed at helping councils save money through collaboration.
Social housing specialist Forrest has won a place on the latest list after bagging a place on the “Medium Value” framework last summer.
Paul Chrippes, director of frameworks at Forrest, said: “The NWCH is a great example of best practice in collaborative frameworks, and our core skills in the social housing, education and public building sectors makes us ideally placed to help deliver its projects.
“Our own commitment to re-investing in the regional economy through training and by using locally based supply chains creates a great synergy with an initiative born out of a partnership between the North West’s local authorities.”
GB Building Solutions is also on both frameworks. Chairman Martin SMout said: “This framework complements our recent success across all Lots on the Northwest Construction Hub Medium Value Framework and our continuing working relationship with Manchester City Council through Framework One and the Housing Investment Framework.
“The appointment supports our reputation for bringing added-value to schemes through community engagement and support combined with the creation of local employment and training opportunities, whilst delivering a quality product on time and to budget”
