He has taken over from Phil Leech who has now become chairman of the building services firm which became an employee ownership trust last year.
The £50m turnover Aston-based business now has offices in Birmingham, Bristol and London.
Grierson brings more than 30 years of experience in the sale of building products. He began his career at the Graham Plumbers’ Merchant chain before joining Alumasc selling rainwater and drainage systems to specifiers and contractors.
He then moved to pipeline and heating solutions giant BSS Group and before joining Wolseley he was regional sales director South for interior fit-out product specialist SIG Interiors.
Grierson will work closely with contracts director Matt Coy and design & estimating director David Cook.
